July 16 speechless
英文:日常生活用语基本过关,相当于我初二的水平;
中文:理解基本没问题,会话有待提高,可以认识30-50个汉字,与妈妈比差距比较大;
Good job, I am so proud of you, Mom”
结果娜娜说:“ask dad to buy you another one.”
狼来了; 小兔乖乖; 司马光砸缸; 孔融让梨;
three little pigs (中英文);
three bears and goldilock;
time to pee;
Bon jour, Babar;
Dora series: Little Star, Backpack, Meet Diego, Mommy's Birthday Cake
Very Busy Spider; Very hungry caterpillar; Very Lonely Firefly;
Baby XXX learn ABC (color, number, shape) with me;
January 23 happy b-dayAccording to Marc, I am now 22. This is based on the ASSUMPTION that I was 19 when he introduced me to his parents three years ago.
Anyway, there is nothing spectacular about my age. But my brithday gifts are well worth showing off:
1. Sushi @ Restaurant Nippon& Broadway Show-----Drowsy Chaperone
2. 18 roses
3. Burberry perfume
4. Burberry silk scarf
5. Rauph Lauren wool scarf
6. wool scarf
7. vintage jewelery box
8. Multicolor gemstone pedant
9. ............................
10. ........................... (HELP ME FINISH THIS LIST BY SENDING ME A GIFT BEFORE THE CHINESE NEW YEAR, Hurry up, only two left) November 06 “我看不了来”娜娜的“我看不了来(Vocabulary)” 那天碰见一个2岁孩子的妈妈,非问我娜娜可以讲多少个词。 August 30 happy 15-month birthday If she is out of my sight for a couple of minutes and being quiet, I know she is making a mess.
她喜欢拉开抽屉,把我的衣服搞乱;
她喜欢帮我挑鞋子,特别是看到我在厨房光着脚丫,非得拿鞋让我穿;
她从地上捡起垃圾,会递给我扔到垃圾筒;
她知道遥控可以打开电视;
给她袜子,她会往脚上穿;给她尿布,她就往屁股下放;我带她去漆黑的卫生间,她就自己找墙上的开关;
她可以自己放音乐(她的玩具上有不同的电台),然后自导自演,给我们跳舞;
February 27 9monthhappy nine-month birthday!
Here is what Hannah can do now:
1. feed herself---she loves finger fruit, and she is so proud of herself shen she puts food in her mouth. sometimes she is greedy, she grabs tiny pieces in both of hands, two or three pieces in each. soon she finds out that she has to let some go, so she can open her thumb and index finger
2. mimic others---she understands some general questions, like how big is Hannah. when asked, she will cross her arm and then open up, meaning she is "so big". she does "clap" "hurray" "peek a boo" and "fake cry". sometimes i pretend that i cannot see her, so i will walk around asking where hannah is. she will make noise. when i say here you are, she giggles.
3. make fun of Diego---her favorite show is Dora the Explorer. she bounces (or dances) when Dora is on. As to Diego, she does not care too much. Today when Diego went to rescue penguins, the baby penguin said baba, mama. so Hannah repeated baba, mama, then she continued with bababababa.
4. say bye to my computer---sometimes i play scrabble online when she is asleep. if i have not finished when i pick her up, she will turn her head and say bye to the computer.
5. shop----she was sick last week, but when her grandma came to pick us to shop, she felt much better. she feel asleep while we were shopping, she totally trusted us to pick out dresses for her. September 27 hannah caught a coldshe is miserable, nosing running, eyes red, rashes all over her body. but she is so strong, she is still trying hard to perfect her new skills: turning over and sucking her toes. so even though I put on socks for her to keep her warm, she takes them off to find her piggies in no time. i love her so much!!! Where the wild things are
My favorite (right, I am at Hannah's reading level now) is Can you CUDDLE Like a Koala?
Can you cuddle like a koala and hold on tight?
Can you creep like a mouse in the pale moonlight?
Can you swing like a monkey, wild and free?
Can you wink like an owl and hide in a tree?
Can you leap like a frog in a cold, clear stream?
Can you stretch like a tiger, walking form a dream?
Can you spalsh like an otter in the pool so deep?
Can you jump like a hare, with a hop and a leap?
Can you hug like a bear with all your might?
Can you curl up like a squirrel getting ready for the night?
Now copy these creatures all ready for bed.
Close your eyes tight and rest your sleepy head. July 29 vaccine shotSunday Hannah is going to get her first vaccine shot (actually she got one for Hepatitis B at hospital, but we were not present). Marc and I are working up to get ready psychologically. I told Marc maybe he should not be in the room just in case he cannot control himself and punch the doctor in his face. I have been imagining what I can do, feed her, rock her, maybe cry with her. It is so difficult.
Be rational, we have a list of questions to ask the pediatrician:
1. Her hair does not fall off at eighth week as the book suggested, is it normal?
2. She has Acute Conjunctivitis (medical jargon for pink eye) sometimes, what should I do?
3. The skins under her neck and on her arms are dry and peeling off. Is it rash or psoriasis?
4. What we do with her ear wax?
5. How many times can I bathe her everyday? Do we use lotion on her face too?
6. Enfamil gives her gas, should we change formula?
7. Can we mix breast milk with formula?
8. Can she use sun block?
9. Her health insurance (the hospital care)
Marc, please add your questions. July 28 Happy two-month BirthdayHannah is so excited that she is two month old. So she only slept eight hours last night. I keep telling her that she is not an adult yet, she should sleep more. OK, I am seriously thinking of buying her a birthday cake. MaAmy is coming to pick us up. We may go to a Korean restaurant to celebrate. June 28 happy one-month birthdayTo sweetest Hannah!
Mom is waiting for you to wake up, then change your wet diaper, feed you, bathe you and dress you! Then Mom will take some pictures of you.
Hannah, I love you so very much. Last Thursday, I got panic about the rashes on your face. I took you to the doctor's. The doctor said it was quite normal for you to have acne, malia, pimples, bumps and cradle cap. These rashes occur because mom's estrogen is still circulating through your body. Friday night, in short notice, we decided to have your naming ceremony. The rabbi and all the people at the service just adored you because, in daddy's words, "you are a happy, strong, beautiful beautiful girl. There will be no glass-ceiling for you."
Saturday, we sadly said goodbye to A Yi. When she invited you to visit her in Wenzhou when you grow up, you smiled to her. She has treated you like her own granddaughter. Sunday mommy and daddy took you to Chinatown to have dim sum.
Do you know you have travelled to so many places in one month? Do you know you have accomplished so much? We love you, Hannah! June 10 first checkupMy mother-in-law is always there for me. For the past few months, she has been with me every time I went to my OB&GYN. Today it is time for Hannah to see her doctor in Chinatown, my mother-in-law cleared her schedule to go with us. But she was stuck in traffic for two hours. So when she finally got to our apartment, we had to rush. Mom drove so fast that A Yi chen kept saying "slow down". But i did not translate for her. The Center street parking lot gave us a hard time again. The guy insisted that there was no space for daily parking. My mother-in-law told him the manager said we could park any time. Last time the same guy gave us the same excuse, I was very pregnant. The manager saw what happened and promised us we could park at his place any time. But this stubborn guy said there was no space. My mother-in-law was very persistant. I never saw her being so tough. She got out of the car, I do not know what she said to the guy, but the guy finally gave in. Hannah seems to like going out. She went to sleep in the car seat. We went to the wrong direction first (Broadway instead of East Broadway). It took us a while to get to the doctor's. Marc went there from his office. He was filling out some forms when we got there. Then the doctor measured Hannah's weight and height again. She gained one pound, but did not grow taller. The doctor did a few other checkups and of course, patiently anwsered all sorts of questions we had. BTW, if you do not know yet, Marc asks a lot of questions no matter what. I am happy not only Hannah is doing perfect, but also I lost 16 pounds since I gave birth. Went to a restaurant on Bowery. The waitress asked me whether Hannah was my daughter. I guess she figured 1. Hannah does not resemble me; 2. I do not look like just giving birth. Anyway, she was impressed that Hannah is only 13 days old. Turned out she has a 18-day old nephew, but he is much smaller than Hannah. We will go back to see the doctor in 6 weeks. She will get her shot. The doctor told us to get mentally prepared. |
